Donna Jean Van Hooser Adams, 75, of Chattanooga went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 5, 2020. She was born May 31, 1945 in Atlanta, GA to the late Haskell “Hack” Eugene Van Hooser and Floye “Flo” (Stansell) Van Hooser. She was a life-long resident of Chattanooga and a faithful member of the Edgewood Baptist Church. She received her RN degree from the Baroness Erlanger School of Nursing and her BSN degree and from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She served as a registered nurse at Children’s Hospital for 40 years. Mrs. Adams had a passion for nursing and spent most of her career caring for newborns in the NICU. She gave generously of her time to others and will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Donna was preceded in death by her parents “Hack” and “Flo” Van Hooser and her grandson, Ronin.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Robert “Bob” Bruce Adams, sons Jeff Adams and Matt (Callie) Adams, grandchildren Jack and Evie Adams, sister Nancy (Robert) Powell, brother Randy Van Hooser, and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

There will be a graveside service at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 9th at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park, 724 Hogan Rd, Rossville, Georgia with Rev. Dale Kidd officiating. We respectfully request that all CDC Covid-19 guidelines be followed, including masks and social distancing. Due to the Current pandemic, there will be no visitation.
