David Dowayne Kendall, 73, of Borden, IN, passed away Wednesday, January 20th, 2021, at the Sellersburg Healthcare Center. David was born in Jeffersonville, IN, on January 6th, 1948.

He graduated from Edinburgh High School in 1966. He worked as a Dispatcher in the Trucking/Fuel industry for over 35 years. He also worked at multiple auto dealerships through the years and his family owned a cleaning business as well. He loved his family, and enjoyed spending time outdoors, hiking and camping in his earlier years, and tending to his chickens and rabbits later in life. His most important work however was as a minister with the Jeffersonville Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Over the years he was also associated with several other southern Indiana congregations to help where needed, always sharing the good news about God’s Kingdom, starting even before he dedicated his life to Jehovah God in 1962.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Enteman and Jane Haskell Kendall, and a granddaughter Gretta Marie Hoover.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 52 years, Patricia Kendall, Borden, IN; three children, Dava D. Kendall, of Memphis, IN; Paul J. Kendall, of Borden, IN, and Katie S. Burke, of Louisville, KY, and their families; a sister, Gloria D. Murphy, of Jacksonville, FL, and a brother, Douglas W. Kendall, of Jeffersonville, IN, and their families. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Ashley N. Branco and Joseph R. Branco, of Nabb, IN; Brooklyn J. Kendall and Annabelle S. Kendall of Borden, IN; Garrett W. Hoover and Hailey J. Burke, of Louisville, KY.

A ZOOM talk will be given on Saturday, January 30th, 2021, at 1:00 PM on-line. Scott Family Crematory is in charge of cremation.
