Mrs. Marie Opal Perry, age 94, passed away Tuesday evening, January 26, 2021, at Providence Assisted Living in Cleveland, MS. The family will hold a Graveside Service on Friday, January 29, 2021 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery located near Clarksdale, MS. Interment will follow there at the cemetery. Although this is an outdoor event, per the family's request, anyone attending the Graveside MUST WEAR A FACE COVERING.
Mrs. Perry was a member of First Baptist Church of Lambert, MS, avid gardener, cook, enjoyed sewing and quilting, family-focused lady who kept everyone together or to better sum it up, the matriarch of the family. When her husband Carl was alive, she worked side by side with him and was very supportive.
Those whom she leaves behind include one daughter, Carla Danette Neely of Cleveland, MS; three sons, Clifton Marcell Perry (Judy) of Petal, MS; Larry Thomas Perry (Joyce) of Cleveland, MS; Phillip Andrew Perry (Judy) of Madison, MS; ten grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Perry, one daughter, Sondra Kay Perry, her parents, Jesse & Alice Perry, three sisters, Ola Mae Perry, Elzada Webb & Maxine Lorraine Webb, and one brother Lee Roy Charles Webb.
