John, 60, Celina, died at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

He was the son of James Joseph and Lovest Sue (Akerman) May. His mother survives in Celina.

Also surviving are three sisters: Charlotte (Keith) Peggs, Chickasaw, Anna (Scott) Bertke, Coldwater, and Angela (Kevin) Kittle, Mendon; and a brother, Jody (Brenda) May, Celina.

A 1979 graduate of Celina High School, he owned and operated May Livestock Trucking Company. He was a member of the Erastus United Methodist Church. He enjoyed going to Eldora to watch the races, listening to music, playing golf and fishing. He liked to watch his favorite sports teams play; the Dallas Cowboy football team, the Cincinnati Reds and Jeff Gordon. He will be missed by all that knew him. He was the type of person that never met a stranger.

Private family services will be held at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, and a celebration of his life services will be scheduled at a later date.
