Carol Jean Adams, age 81 passed away with her family by her side on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Gregston Nursing Center in Marlow, OK. She was born in Duncan, OK on January 31, 1939 to Rollie and Nell (Stewart) Palmer. She graduated from Duncan High School in 1957 and was a lifelong resident of Duncan. She worked at various businesses including Haworth Oil, Halliburton and McGuire Plumbing.

Carol married Joe B. Adams in Wichita Falls, Texas on April 9, 1985. Together they owned and operated Wright's Donut shop in Duncan for many years. She enjoyed talking to and spending time with her grandchildren, and loved traveling with her husband, Joe.

Carol is survived by her husband Joe Adams of the home; two sons: Randy Carlile and wife Debby of McAlester, OK; David Carlile and wife Teresa of Grandbury, TX; one stepson, Joe B. Adams Jr. and wife Vona of Amarillo, TX; eight grandchildren: Kenzie Kankel and husband William of Brennan, TX; Hayle Carlile of Mountain Home, Idaho; Holly Carlile of Grandbury, TX; Taylor Carlile of Winchester, OR; Gary Bowman and wife Donna of Krum, TX; Chrystal Williams of Duncan, OK; Lacy Miller and husband Stephan of Amarillo, TX; Brit Adams and wife Brooke of Amarillo, TX; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two sisters: Sue Varbel of Cordova, TN; Margaret Wyatt and husband Darrell of Forth Worth, TX; and two brothers, Harold (Sonny) Palmer and wife Sandra of Longview, TX; Homer (Butch) Palmer and wife Sue of Owasso, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rollie and Nell Palmer.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 2, at 1:00 P.M. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Harold Palmer officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
