Homer D. Andrews, 88, of Shallotte died Tuesday January 26, 2021 at the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick.

Mr. Andrews was born in Brunswick County on October 26, 1932 and was the son of the late William Murchison Andrews and Lula Grissett Andrews. Mr. Andrews was Post Master for the Shallotte Post Office for several years. He was a charter member of the Shallotte Volunteer Rescue Squad and was very active in Little League Baseball for many years where he was a coach, umpire and President of the league. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Andrews.

He is survived by his children, Lori Andrews Hewett (Kevin) of Supply, Allen Andrews (Cheryl) of Shallotte; two grandchildren, Keeley Hewett (Brandon), Hunter Hewett (Chelsea); three great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Wyatt, Gunner; his beloved feline companion, Tinker; three nephews, Wayne Evans, Bobby Evans, Jim Harbolt; two nieces, Jackie Groves, Ellen Leonard and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday January 30, 2021 at two o'clock in the afternoon at the Chapel Hill Cemetery, Shallotte with Reverend Landis Lancaster and Reverend Joe Needham officiating.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Hewett, Jacob Hall, Rodney Collins, Chris Smith, Phil Burnette, Kevin Hewett.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from six o'clock until eight o'clock at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Dr., Shallotte. Due to COVID 19 social distancing and facial coverings are required.
