LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021 at a 10:00 a.m. Liturgy of the Word in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Mona Faye Myers, age 68, the former Mona Faye Menard, who passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at her residence in Lafayette.

Interment will be in St. Therese Catholic Cemetery. Deacon David Menard of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church will officiate at the services.

Mrs. Myers was a native of Lake Charles and a resident of Lafayette. She enjoyed genealogy and loved traveling.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-five years, Kerney Myers; one daughter, Denise Ann Simon both of Lafayette; one grandson, Myles Anthony Simon; two sisters, Patsy M. Straza of Church Point and Kathleen Menard of Scott; and three brothers, William James Menard and his wife, Elaine, of Mire, Michael Menard of Toledo Bend, and Cleb Lee Menard of Duson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rita Joseph Menard and the former Yolande Veronie; four brothers, Elmo Menard, Joseph Menard, Marcus Menard and Oscar Menard; and three sisters, Susan Menard, Jacqueline Menard, and Shirley M. Robin.

A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
