Mary Ellen Hopkins, 74, of Bowling Green entered in to rest Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at her residence. Mary Ellen was a native of Warren County and was born February 1, 1946.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Paul Samuel Hopkins, a daughter Nona Jo Belcher, her parents Hubert & Drucilla Oliver, three half-sisters Kathy, Sis and Lounell and one half-brother.
Mary Ellen was a retired LPN at Magnolia Village and an active member of Lost River Church of Christ. She loved to color, watch T.V. and loved Melissa’s cooking. Also she loved watching U. K. basketball.
Survivors include her son Roger Dale Faulkner (Emiko) of San Digeo, CA, two daughters Melissa Spillman (Dewayne) of Cave City, KY and Patricia Coles of Bowling Green. Three sisters Marilyn Pitterle (Thomas) of Colorado, Jean Bunch of Glasgow and Mary Gregory of Arizonia. Three brothers Ray Joiner of Georgia, Wink of Bowling Green and Bobby Gregory of Arizonia and one half-brother. Grandson Diesel Spillman of Cave City and three step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 12:00 pm at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation be Saturday 9:00 am until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens.
