Phillip and Ruth were married for 72 years. He served in the Air Force working as a welder. When he returned as a disabled veteran he worked in the parts department at OAMI type writing repair school. Phillip enjoyed fishing, collecting coins, scale antique tractors and gardening.
Preceding him in death is his daughter Phyllis Kay Allen, his parents and seven siblings.
Survivors included his wife of 72 yrs. Ruth; son, Phillip Allen Jr. and wife Dianne; daughter, Laura Maxfield; and sister-in-law, Lea Bolles.
Burial in Mount Rose Cemetery, Lebanon, MO
