CHARLES L. HOOVER, 72, of Port Clinton passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at his residence. He was born on June 1, 1948 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Paul "Bud" and Wilma J. (Ballou) Hoover.

He is survived by three children, Amy Hoover of Fort Myers, FL, Paul (Ashley) Hoover of Union Grove, NC and Kelsey (Corey) House of North Port, FL; four grandchildren; brother, Doug (Joan) Hoover of Sidney; significant other, Karol Reese and friends, John and Rita Johnson.

Mr. Hoover worked as a Civil Servant Calibration Technician. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for over 20 years. He loved being a Marine and everything about the Marine Corp. Charles enjoyed playing cards, drinking beer and bantering with his family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday February 2, 2021 at 1 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney with Rev. Philip K. Chilcote officiating. Burial will follow with Full Military Honors presented by the Sidney Veterans Honor Guard and the United States Marine Corp at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney.
