Keith was raised in Mayfield and attended school at Sedalia. He moved to Michigan in 1950 to pursue his career. He successfully owned and operated Keval Tool & Cutter Grinding Inc., until his retirement. He then moved back to Mayfield where he resided with his wife of 70 years, Loretta Patterson.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta L. Paterson; four children, Pamela Patterson (Mayfield), Keith Alan (Ruth) Patterson (Mayfield), Cynthia Patterson (Dean) Baker (Farmington), and Keenan Patterson (Mayfield); three grandchildren, Sean Cowsert (Iowa), David Cayer (Michigan), Danielle Cayer (Michigan).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude William Patterson and Annie Opal (Byars) Patterson and two siblings, Ted Hugh Patterson and Nancye Patterson Travis. The family will hold a memorial for Keith at a later date. Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
