Hubert H. Harrison, 79, of Parkersburg, died July 22, 1996 at his residence.
He was born in Parkersburg, a son of the late Rev. Henry W. and Clara Cora Hayes Harrison.
He was a Parkersburg High School graduate and received training and served as a dental technician for Dr. Hill on Market Street. Later he used his skills in making and repairing dentures for military personnel while serving with the U.S. Navy during world War II.
He was the former co-owner and operator of Harrison's Grocery Store, 31st Street and a member of Iron Workers Union 787 where he worked as a welder.
He was a member of Gideons International, Parkersburg Masonic Lodge 169 AF&AM, Calvary Commandry 3, Jerusalem Chapter 3 and Nemesis Shrine. He was a member and former Sunday School teacher at South Parkersburg United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Ada Agnes Wolfe Harrison and several nieces and nephews
He was proceeded in death by two brothers and one sister
Services 2 p.m. Wednesday, South Parkersburg United Methodist Church, the Revs Peggy Scharff, Carol McCauley and Hugh Clarkson Boone officiating. Burial Evergreen North Cemetery.
Visitation 2-5 and 7-9 today and 9-11 am Wednesday. Vaughan Funeral Home and 1-2 pm Wednesday at the church.
