Born May 5, 1940 in Versailles, Kentucky he was the son of the late Charles Russell and Mildred Edith Lancaster Barnes. He had lived in Winfield most of his life and was a member of the Concord Pentecostal Church of God. He was retired from Barnes Aluminum and Glass.
He is survived by 4 sons, Bobby and (Becky) Barnes Jr. of Winfield, AL, Ronny Barnes Sr. of Lexington, KY, Charles "Chuck"and (Tracey) of Washington, OK, and Anthony Barnes of Atlanta, GA, 2 daughters, Teresa and (Billy) Channell of Winfield, AL and Karen and (Eddie) Jones of Rolla, MO, his sister, Edith Ann and (Jimmy) Young of Cynthiana, KY.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, his wife, Nora Lee Barnes and a grandson, Sean Sandlin.
Services held Friday at 11:00 am at Turn Around Church in Winfield, AL with burial to follow in Living Faith Tabernacle Cemetery in Columbus, MS
