Ron Williamson, 74, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. He was an active member of Red Bank Baptist Church and part of the security team. A native of Texas, Ron served his country as an officer in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was in the corrugated box industry all his life, both in sales and management. For the last 30 years he served as a reserve in the sheriff’s department in Lee County, Alabama and the Red Bank Police Department. Ron was a volunteer at the Tennessee Aquarium and drove dealer trade cars for several car dealerships in the Chattanooga area.

Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Barbara Williamson; children, Merideth Adams and Jeremy Williamson; grandchildren, Peyton Adams (Brittney) and Shelby Adams; great grandchild, Declynn Elizabeth Adams and many extended loved ones.

A memorial service will be on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Red Bank Baptist Church with Dr. Sam Greer and Dr. Josh Lancaster officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday before the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Association.
