DAVIS – Francis E. Davis, 74, passed on from this world to his Heavenly home on January 23, 2021.
He was born April 7, 1946 in London.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pam Davis, daughters Elaine Timms (Dave) Johnson of Galloway and Jane (Tony) Mayo of Huntington, WV, son Beechel Davis of London; grandchildren Adam (Kimberly) Timms, Elizabeth Timms (Joshua) Branham, Andrew (Addey) Headlee and Zachariah (Ali) Headlee; three step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; he is also survived by three sisters, two brothers and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Francis was well known in the London Community for his sense of humor and his sincerity. He had attended Crossroads Community Church where he generously showed God’s love. Francis worked for and retired from The Dial Corporation in London. During his lifetime he enjoyed spending time with the Ohio Valley Steam Threshers Association and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He also volunteered with the Madison County Food Pantry, He loved to do wood working-making canes for people for 25 years. Many will remember Francis as a coffee drinking buddy and customer. He was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday January 28, 2021 in Crossroads Community Church, 2262 OH-56, London, with Pastor Thad Gifford officiating. Interment will follow in Paint Memorial Cemetery, London. Friends may call Crossroads Community Church on Thursday from 11 AM until the time of service.
The family suggests memorials in Francis’ name be made to Crossroads Community Church or Loving Care Hospice, 56 S Oak St, London.
