Joseph Daniel McLean at 35 years old of Salem, Oregon was born on Tuesday, July 2nd, 1985 in Portland, Oregon at the Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center. Our Joe passed Sunday, January 17th, 2021 at the Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center.

Joe is survived by his 15 year old daughter Jaz Bockes-McLean, his mother Sandra McLean, his "Pops" Michael Cupps Jr, sister Jessika McLean, and brother Michael Cupps III, and many nieces and nephews.

Joe was a member of the Local 146 Carpenters Union where he left his touch on many places around Oregon. He was a true craftsman, like everything else he put his heart and creativity into his craft. Joe enjoyed everything outdoors, camping, fishing, floating the river. Anywhere the sun took him. Joe truly knew how to appreciate the natural beauty of life. His passion for his daughter and family was uncomparable. Everything he did was for a better and brighter future for him and his daughter, always looking forward, Joe thrived in the spotlight, had a contagious laugh and lingering effect on everyone around him. It was an aura you wanted to be around. A very special soul, loving father, son, and brother. We will cherish every moment you gave us, and every smile you shared.

Private services were held. Assisting the family is Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for Joe. http://gf.me/u/zgnka2
