Manning - Floride Adams Goff, 76, widow of Claude Goff, died Saturday, October 25, 2003, in a Lexington nursing home. Born July 29, 1927, in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Bessie Keisler Adams. She was a retired corrections officer for the state of New York, a member of Red Bank Baptist Church in Lexington, and a former member of Second Baptist Church in Manning. Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Whitehead of Pinetop, Ariz., and Rachael George of Rochester, N.Y.; son, William E. Goff of Spruce Pine, N.C.; nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Goff. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Milton Shealy Funeral Home in Batesburg-Leesville, directed by Stephens Funeral Home of Manning. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery in Batesburg-Leesville. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Milton Shealy Funeral Home in Batesburg-Leesville.
