Bernice Mankins Jones, 92, died on January 26, 2021 at Washita Valley Living Center in Pauls Valley Oklahoma, after a long illness.
Bernice was born the 24th of March, 1928, in the township of Mosely, near Sulphur Oklahoma. Bernice made her home in Stratford, Oklahoma, where she lived as she ended her work career and headed into retirement.
She was preceded in death by her father; Henry Clark Mankins, her mother; Nora Alice Stanberry, half brother; Willie Richard Douglas (Bud), and her ex-husband Verdon Jones. (Divorced 1975)
As a military wife, Bernice traveled the United States with four children. She had a varied work experience starting with being a waitress early in her marriage. Later she sewed jeans for different brands, printed solo cups, and later home heath care. Berniece always had room in her home for others in need.
Bernice is survived by her children; Bobby Jones from Paris, Texas, Barbara and Calvin Wood from Stratford, Oklahoma, Sherion and John Kinsaul from Goldsby, Oklahoma, and Pam and Rick Roberts from Stover, Missouri. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Austin Jones, Tx, Dale Disney, NJ, Mandy Wood, OK, Justin Wood, OK, Angie France, VA, Jera Winters, OK, Brianne Delashaw, OK, Dusty Roberts, MO, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
