Jeanette Blanton Perkins

Jeanette Perkins passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 in Westerville following an extended illness. She was 89.

She was born August 3, 1931 in Barbourville, Kentucky to the late Felix and Delia (Hensley) Blanton.

On August 7, 1964 she married Clyde Perkins with whom she celebrated over 50 years of marriage before his death on November 25, 2014.

Together, Jeanette and Clyde began operating, Clyde Perkins Agri Service, servicing farms in Morrow County and the surrounding counties.

In 1975 the business began operating as Ohio Farm Systems Inc. Active in the business, Jeanette was a hard worker helping in every aspect.

Successful due to hard work and sacrifice, Jeanette was always busy. In operating the family business and volunteering in agriculture related organizations with Clyde, the couple forged a special bond and served as a pillar in both the Morrow County Community and their family.

Jeanette was a long-time member of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ and was also a member of the Richland County Master Gardeners.

Her family includes five siblings that preceded her in death Glenn, Felix, Jr., Delbert, Odell, and Gorman Blanton, Ruby Brown and infant Geneva Blanton; a sister Marge Stillwell of Sparta; two sons David Hankins of Tennessee and Gary Hankins of Sidney; a daughter-in-law Nancy Hankins who preceded Jeanette in death; two step children Linda and Rich Worley of Mt. Gilead, and Gary Perkins who passed away in 2015; grandchildren and their spouses Justin and Alice Linscott of New Albany, Adam and Shelby Perkins of Mt. Gilead, Andy Perkins of Greenwich, Ross and Ashley Linscott of Delaware, James and Carma Hankins of Stryker, Paul and Laurie Hankins of Willard, Mary Valdez of Tennessee; and numerous great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 29, 2021 at 10 am in Shauck Cemetery. Pastor Don Linn will officiate.
