Piedmont, Alabama - Steven A. Lee, Sr., age 72, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Newton Medical Center. Born in Newton to the late Harold and Ellen (Heater) Lee, Steve had lived in Sussex County before moving to Piedmont, Alabama 4 years ago. He had been employed by the Sussex County Road Department for over 20 years and retired in 2010. Mr. Lee enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and hunting. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Robert Lee and his sister, Joan Hallowich. Mr. Lee is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rose (Hallowich); two sons, Carl Lee and his wife Pattie and Steven Lee, Jr. and his wife Debbie; his daughter, Rose Nicholson and her husband Greg; his brother, Harold Lee, III; his sister, Beverly Roff; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and expecting one great grandchild.
