Jackie lovingly known as “Mama Jack” owned and operated Joe & Jackie’s Daycare and Pre-K for close to 30 years. Mama Jack, with her kindness for all children and her loving compassion for everyone touched many lives including the children’s parents and her staff at the daycare. Without a doubt she helped teach and raise generations of children throughout the years. A beautiful legacy that will be remembered and carried in the hearts of all that she influenced for years to come.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Henry (Pop) and Irene (Honey) Moore; daughter, Stephanie Cordell; stepson, Joe Moore, Jr.; grandson, Jacoby Kerr; and brothers, Marvin, Tommy, and Bob McFadden.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Moore of the home; daughters, Fonda and Jackie Kerr, Misty and Chris Harkins of Mineral Wells, Camille Moore of Mansfield; grandchildren, Lacy and Kaleb Cross, Lindy and Daniel Gore, Savannah Durham, Kynlee and Milania Harkins, and Xaeden Moore; great-grandson, Max Cross; brothers, Phil Phelps, Richard McFadden; sisters, Mary Jane Gilley, Sharon Jontra, Inez Meeks and Alveta Bishop; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 28 at the Mineral Wells Church of God with burial following at Woodland Park Cemetery.
