DORIS MARIE WALKER JENKINS, age 61, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Monday, January 25, 2021, at STRHS Winchester. Ms. Jenkins was born in Winchester, on February 19, 1959, to the late James Paul Walker and Sadie Lou Hill Walker. She last attended Winchester First Baptist Church. She was employed for several years at the former Genesco Shoe Factory in Cowan but was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her sons and nieces and nephews. She was "Duty Baby" to her older brothers and sisters. She will be remembered as a loving and caring Mother, Sister and Aunt.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Jenkins was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Walker. She is survived by her sons; Derrick Clark and wife, Tabitha, of Cowan, and Matthew Prince of Winchester, brothers; Danny Walker and wife, Sherry, sisters; Ruth McBee and husband, David, Brenda Hill and husband, Charles, and Shirley Curtis, all of Cowan. Nieces and Nephews; Greg, Angie, Ricky, Chucky, Nicki, Amanda, Daniel, Laura, Jason, Jonathan, J.P., Savannah, Becca, Leslie, Caleb, Stewart, Maribelle, Auna, Kloi, Daisey, and Ellie.
Visitation for Ms. Jenkins, will be held on from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday evening, Jan. 28, 2021, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, Jan. 29, 2021 in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Jason Curtis, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Cowan Montgomery Cemetery.
Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic masks are required to attend services. Our lounge is presently closed for food.
