Mildred Faye Gorrell Henderson, was born December 24, 1929 in Athens, TX. She grew up with 4 siblings. At the age of 15 she married the love of her life, JD Gorrell in 1944, a short year later they welcomed a son, Larry Gorrell, and nine years later a daughter, Cynthia Gorrell. While JD worked in the oil-field industry around the globe from Alaska to Malaysia, Mildred was a homemaker extraordinaire. Once settling down to the plains of Oklahoma, she found a career as a Membership Coordinator for Weight Watchers, traveling the state setting up & organizing new meetings. She inspired others to take control of their health through weight watchers. JD & Mildred welcomed 5 grandchildren into the world. After JD lost his battle with emphysema, she enjoyed her little dog, Precious, her flower garden and friends. Years later, she reunited with a friend and later married her late husband of 23 yrs, Donald Henderson. The enjoyed traveling together, meeting new friends both local and abroad, hosting various clubs and groups at their home.
