'The Dillon Examiner,' Dillon, MT
3 August 1932, page 1:

Henry Cahill, well-known Dillon man and former prominent Madison county rancher, passed away at Warm Springs last Thursday night, following a long illness. He had been receiving treatment for several months. His wife and Miss Anna Tobin were with him when the end came. Word of his death was received with great regret in this community and in Madison county.

He was a native of Virginia City, where he was born 57 years ago, and spent his early life in that section, his parents having been among the early pioneers of Madison county. When he had grown to manhood Mr. Cahill operated the ranch in Ruby valley which had been located by his father, and his interests in that section became extensive. He retired in 1919 and came to Dillon, where he had made his home ever since.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Rose Catholic church in this city. The Rev. Father F. X. Lechner celebrated requiem high mass and interment was made in Mountain View cemetery. Surviving Mr. Cahill are his widow, and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Carey of Sheridan, and Mrs. Elizabeth Stone, Mrs. Kate McDonald and Mrs. Charles Metzel, of Alder.
