Thomas Junius “Tom” Ramsey, Jr., 59, of 171 Cat’s Creek Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Mansfield, Oh., he was the husband of Sharon Kelley Koonts Ramsey and son of Patricia Sowash Ramsey Goodman of Gaffney and the late Thomas Junius Ramsey, Sr.

He was a graduate of Gaffney High School, was employed by Freightliner, a member of North Point Church and volunteered with the Jerusalem Project. Tom and Sharon volunteered as youth parents for the church and enjoyed Mission Fuge with the youth. He loved the Lord, his family and friends. His friends referred to him as “Talking Tom”.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is a son, Taylor Koonts of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Cameron Koonts of Greenville, S.C.; a brother, Brian Ramsey (Katie) of Gaffney; a sister, Diana Ramsey of Gaffney; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Services will be private for the family but will be livestreamed by North Point Church Gaffney at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: North Point Church “Youth Fund” or “Mighty Feast NPC”, 122 Caggiano Drive, Gaffney, S.C. 29341.

The family will be at their respective homes.
