Born in Philadelphia on September 5, 1944, he was a son of the late James and Marie (McDonald) Collier. He was a graduate of Catholic High School in Mt. Carmel.
Mr. Collier served his country as United States Army Medic from June 14, 1965 until February 18, 1967. Richard retired from the former Alumo Corporation in Mt. Carmel Township. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
Surviving are three brothers, Jack Collier of Kulpmont, James Collier of Danville and Roman Kenenitz of Mt. Carmel; six sisters, Anne Marie Myer and her husband Clancy of Mechanicsburg, Mary Mazurkevich and her husband John of Lancaster, Joan Rice and her husband Francis of Dover, Romaine Trefsger and her husband Dan of Ashland, Donna Monahan of Wilkes-Barre and Helene Edling of Fountain Springs; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 11:30 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with the Rev. Francis J. Karwacki, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. A viewing will be held on Thursday morning from 9:30 am until 11:15 am at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc.
