THOMAS MARTIN GILTNER

Officer Giltner served the Louisville Division of Police for only fifteen months
when he was murdered on duty. He was walking his foot beat near 7th & Broadway
Streets when an individual fatally shot him in the abdomen with a pistol. A suspect
was arrested however he was acquited in a trial. The murder is unsolved.

He was survived by a wife, five daughters and three sons.
