Beloved father, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, treasured brother and friend, Benjamin Walter “B.W.” George, age 91, passed away on January 21, 2021 in Marshall, Texas. Benjamin was born on December 30, 1924 in Harleton, Texas to Walter Lane George and Zadie Stella (Fried) George. Benjamin is preceded in death by his grandchildren, Larry Beloney, Jr. and Sonya Lynn Clark; his parents, Walter and Zadie George; and his siblings, Rayburn Lane George, Jessie Neuton George, Elmer Ray George, Margaret Nell Humphreys, Edmond Eugene “Peck” George, Gilbert Daniel George, Stella Mae Landers and Eva Jane George. He is survived by his children, Brenda Gail Clark of Marshall, Debra Lynn Gulley of Marshall, Wilma Jean Lambert of Karnack; grandchildren, Karla Jean Keasler of Colorado, Jill Ann Beloney of Marshall, Vicki Kay Martin (Hayden) of Marshall, Kim Pendley of Tennessee, William Carl Clark, II (Brandy) of Longview, Stephen Clark (Jessica) of Tennessee, Holly Lewis of Oklahoma, Shane Clark (Jennifer) of Longview, Michael Beloney (Stacey) of Scottsville and Benjamin Clark of Marshall; great-grandchildren, Kristen , Heather and Jason Keasler, Hunter and Kyndall Martin, Hayleigh Clark, Isabella, Isaac, Eva and Luke Clark, Tony and Madison Clark, Allyson Villanueva, Blake and Lyndsey Lewis, Deshon Hilton, Brianna Hearne, Addison, and Aubrey and Michaela Beloney; great-great grandchildren, Zalen Villanueva, Lettie Rose Childs, Jason Keasler, III and Brayden Smith; and siblings, Alva Louise “Lucy” Nolan of Florida, Carl Denver George (Shirley) of Marshall, Mary Belle Mixon of Beeville and Arnol Lee George (Lou) of Longview.

Benjamin, fondly known as “B.W.”, was born and raised in East Texas and spent many years as an industrial chemist. He loved his Lord and church, and had a special place in his heart for Travis Gully. B.W. also loved his daughters fiercely and had a wonderful relationship with each of them. B.W. loved to dance! He taught his daughters to dance and was known to dance every Thursday night until the recent health pandemic. He was an avid fisherman and taught this skill to his daughters as well. B.W. was well loved at Heritage House and had a smile that would light up a room. The last words he said to anyone he spoke with was “take care of yourself”. B.W. was truly loved and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.

A time of visitation will be held for B.W. from 6-8pm on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Meadowbrook Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be at 11am on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Liberty Cemetery in Harleton, Texas with Rev. Travis Gulley and Rev. Chad Roberts officiating.
