Susan Ann Wilcox, age 73, went home to the Lord on January 24, 2021. She was born on july 25, 1947 to the late Sylvester and Erma (Schultz) Daye. She was the youngest of 4 children that included her brother Arlon and sisters Polly and Phyllis.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home at 10:00 AM, with visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Wautoma, WI.

Susan grew up in Wautoma, WI and graduated from Wautoma High School in 1965. When she was little, she would go to her big brother Arlon’s basketball games and dress up like a little cheerleader. Whenever she was there the team won, and if she missed a game the team lost. It was a happy memory for her!

Sue married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Wilcox on October 28, 1967 and they had two children, David and Kristine. Sue worked in the cafeteria at the school in Nekoosa, Walmart, Fashion Bug, Home Healthcare, and finally Subway in Nekoosa where she retired. She was also Boy Scout treasurer and Girl Scout leader when the kids were younger.

Sue was the heart of the family! She made sure the kids were taken to all their sporting and music events, she shared her family recipes and traditions, and was always there for her family no matter what. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren.

She is lovingly survived by her husband of 53 years, Bob; her son, David of Wautoma; her daughter Kristine (Jeff) Schmelzer of Port Edwards and her 3 grandchildren, Rowan, Savannah, and Amber Schmelzer. She is also survived by her sister Polly (Jim) Bielmeier of Wautoma, sister-in-law Sandi Daye of Montello, brother-in-law James (Marlene) Wilcox of Rapids City, SD and sister-in-law Judi Wilcox of Wisconsin Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Arlon, sister Phyllis, in-laws Harold and Ruby Wilcox, and sister-in-law Charlene Wilcox.

The family would like to thank Dr. Dickman, Katie Omernik, the staff at Edgewater and hospice for the loving care and support they gave.
