Sharkey was a hard-working man that was employed with Flowers Bakery for over 44 years. He was a talented man whom worked well with his building /repairing thing as well as growing vegetables in his garden. Sharkey, along with his father and uncle built the home that he shared with his family. He was generous with his time, often doing side-work for others, as a handyman and electrician. From an early age Sharkey enjoyed fishing, hunting, raising Beagles, grilling, and all things outdoors, which he continued into his retirement from the Bakery. Around the neighborhood he was known for growing the ingredients he put into his famous peach, dandelion and grape wines.
Sharkey was well known in the community and often participated in community events. He was a devoted and honorable man that worked hard for his family. Sharkey demonstrated his affinity for family by living directly across the street from his mother and father; and no further than "Down the street" before that. Sharkey wasn't much for traveling, but he was always content in familiar surroundings. Sharky is desperately missed by his surviving wife of 53 years, Viesta, son David Jr. (Celeste), daughters Judith (Cheston) & Jacenta (Denise) 10 Grandchildren (David III, Onitsha, Adriana, Rashaun, Austin, Shantacia, Corey II, Alexi, Gamon, (Tabitha) and Zaydius; 13 great-grandchildren, brother Anglis Trigg Jr. (Linda) sister-in-law Sheryl Trigg and a host of other family members and friends.
Sharky is preceeded in death by his parents, Anglis Sr. and Jaunita Trigg, brothers Rudolph Sr. and Brian and sister Angela Bane.
