Charles Edward Armstrong, 76, of Jonesboro passed from this life Saturday, January 23, 2021 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born January 26, 1944 in Nettleton to the late Roy Emmett and Mary Florence Armstrong.

Charles has lived in Jonesboro all of his life and was of the Baptist belief. He loved fishing and spending time with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkid. Charles owned Armstrong Construction and enjoyed driving heavy equipment, especially his gravel trucks and bobcat.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond (Louise) Armstrong and Les Armstrong; sisters, Margaret (Brewster) Carter, Mary (Raymond) Minton and Hazel (Talmadge) Walker as well as a sister-in-law, Sue Armstrong.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen Armstrong of the home; son, Greg (Terri) Armstrong of Locust Grove; daughter, Sara (Dustin) Osment of Jonesboro; brothers, Dale (Marty) Armstrong of Smithville and Wayne Armstrong of Brookland and a sister-in-law, Carol Armstrong of Mountain Home; Grandchildren, Chase Armstrong, Mason Armstrong, Blakely Osment, and Beckett Osment and great-grandchild, Jameson Armstrong.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Scott Armstrong, Nathan Armstrong, Larry Carter Jr., Johnny Carter and Johnny Walker. Honorary pallbearers include Larry Carter Sr., Rick Carter, John Carter, Earnie Walker, Chase Armstrong, Mason Armstrong, Dustin Osment, Beckett Osment, Wayne Armstrong and Dale Armstrong.
