Nathan was the son of Elijah Green and Jane Skidgel. I have arrived at his estimated year of birth based on 2 matching answers out of 4 census' he is found in. His D.C. in Dec of 1895 lists his age at 67 placing a birth year of 1828, but this would be an outlier to all other available dates.

Nathan married circa 1852, Phebe Kinney the daughter of John Kinney and Phebe Tompkins. Nathan's older brother Joseph married Phebe's older sister Esther.

Nathan and Eunice had 10 children of record all born in Greenfield. The list can be found on Phebe's memorial.

Nathan and Phebe emigrated to Maine in the mid 1870's, their daughter Adeline states the year was 1873, and son Jarvis states 1875. Nathan, wife Phebe and their immediate family still alive and still living at home are found in Mars Hill in the 1880 census. As the 1890 census is lost, details of them and any children is unfortunately unavailable.

Nathan died in a tragic accident, being run over by a train. Details can be found on the attached copy of the newspaper clipping to the memorial. He was buried in Bridgewater per his D.C., but not specified which one. I strongly suspect it would have been in the one that his son George is buried in that had died 2 years earlier. I strongly believe that would have been the Corner Cemetery being the closest in Bridgewater to Blaine, but have no tangible proof at this time.
