Early Monday morning, October 12, 2020, at the age of 89, Harry D. Powell Jr. ascended to heaven straight into the waiting arms of his beloved wife, Nancy. Harry was born on May 3, 1931 to Harry and Emma (Eubanks) Powell in Alexandria, Virginia. Harry was predeceased by his loving wife, Nancy Lee Clarke Powell and all his siblings. Harry and Nancy owned and ran the Bel-Air Motel in Kill Devil Hills for many years.
Harry is survived by his six children, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and his loving, compassionate companion, that the family was so blessed to have in his life.
Harry will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
