Erma Wolfe, 96, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Ohio City, Ohio, Erma worked as a telephone operator with Bell Telephone for over 30 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, President of Homestead Acres Civic Association, Officer in Isaac Walton League and Northeastern Indiana Kennel Club, and a member of the Three Rivers Orchid Society.
Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Gene Wolfe of Fort Wayne; sons, James (Shannon) Frye of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Lee (Jackie) Frye of Grand Haven, Mich.; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and May Eber. Funeral service is 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling from 1 to 3 p.m. Pastor Debbie Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, ACRES, Animal Care and Control, or Friends of Cedar Creek.
