Age 70, of Stowe Twp. Passed away peacefully on Thursday January 21, 2021. Beloved Husband of 48 years to Barbara (Vasselo) Thornton. Son of the late Robert and Grace Thornton. Brother of Linda (the late Leo) Barrett, Robin (Christopher) McBane and the late Robert (Eileen) Thornton, Ronald (Frances) Thornton and Richard (surviving spouce Denise Anderson) Thornton. Brother in Law of Betty (Joe) Rippole, Beverly ( the late Frank) Marraffa, and the late Antoinette ( surviving husband Russ) Boring. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and friends. David proudly served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He also worked for 40 years at Jenny Lee Bakery.

Family and Friends are welcome for visitation at the Kennedy Township location of the Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home, Inc. 941 McCoy Road McKees Rocks, PA 15136 (Kennedy Township) on Monday Jan. 25, 2021 2~4 and 6~8 pm. A blessing service will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Musmanno Chapel. A private burial will take place at the National Cemetery of The Alleghenies at a later date.
