Macon, Georgia - Julia "Judy" James Tucker, 74, of Macon, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 21, 2021.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Monday, January 25, 2021 at the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the MDS Foundation, 4573 South Broad St., Ste 150, Yardville, NJ 08620.
Daughter of the late Benjamin Wiley James and Evelyn Cates James, Mrs. Tucker was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking from Wesleyan College and Master of Fine Arts in painting from Georgia State University. She taught art locally throughout her career.
Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Eugene "Gene" Tucker, III.
Judy is survived by children, Debra Phillips (Thomas), of Macon, Angela Yaklin (Stephen), of Canton, Georgia, and Robert Neal Tucker, of Macon; grandchildren, Kyle Yaklin (Ashley), Wade Yaklin, Bryce Yaklin, Luke Yaklin, Madeleine Cates Tucker and Robert Neal Tucker, Jr.; sisters, Margaret Smith and Carolyn McWilliams, both of Macon; and her beloved dog, Bella.
Hart's at the Cupola, Hart's Mortuary and Cremation Center, 6324 Peake Rd, Macon, GA 31210 has charge of the arrangements.
