Calvin attended Lincoln High School in Marrero, Louisiana. He graduated from the Louisiana State Barber College on June 8, 1958. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on January 21, 1963 and was honorably discharged.
In 1965 he met the love of his life, Betty Ann McGill. She was his wife and devoted companion for over 54 years. From this union they had two children.
He was in his 30’s when he accepted Christ. He was baptized at St. Joseph Baptist Church in Marrero Louisiana, by the Late Reverend Talton Lewis, Pastor.
Calvin leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Betty Ann McGill Wilson; his daughter Michele Wilson Walker and his son Malcolm D. Wilson; his siblings: Henderson Wilson, Jr., Jerry Wilson, Judy Morton and Fay Shelton. He leaves three grandsons: Vaughn Walker, Zalen and Mason Wilson, one granddaughter, Zaia Wilson and a close niece, Rayshanna Shelton. He was preceded in death by his parents Henderson Wilson, Sr., Melvina Edwards; and one brother Jimmy Wilson.
He will be missed by all his sisters-and brothers-in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
