Resident of Kingman, Kansas was born on Sept. 24, 1962 in New Boston, Texas to George "Son" and Ellen Jean (Rankin) Ross.
Josie went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 23, 2020 in Kingman following a sudden cardiac event. She was surrounded by love and grace.
Josie was the first of two children and only daughter of her parents followed by her dearest brother Roger Wayne Ross; both parents preceded Josie and Roger. Her mother Ellen Jean on June 24, 1974 and her father George "Son" on May 14, 1977.
Josie spent her childhood near Texarkana; In 1981 she met her husband Charles Hull while both attended Job Corp in Southern Texas. In 1986 Charles and Josie moved their family to South East Colorado. Also preceding her brother Roger Wayne on April 26, 2015.
Surviving are her three adult children; daughter Stephanie Groves and son-in-law Malcom Groves of Kingman, Kansas, her son Charles "Bubba" Hull of Kansas, and daughter Tonja "Hull" Chambers and son-in-law Herbie Chambers of Florida; her six grandchildren PFC Christopher "Huston" Groves, Richard Groves, Sean Groves, Wildie Groves all of Kansas, Summer Stoneham of Florida, and Jakeob Mathes (Randy Mathes) of Kansas; along with a large host of extended "Ross/Rankin" families including her dearest Aunt Betty, ex mother-in-law Anna (Denison) Smith and ex father-in-law Eugene Smith of Kingman, Kansas, ex sister-in-law Sandy (Hull, "Benny" Witcher of Kingman, cousin Bryan Denison of Kingman and a host of extended family as well as a large host of lifelong friendships that transcended time, distance and space.
Also preceding Josie are her paternal grandparents George Lee Ross in 1975, Josephine "Josie" (Missildine) Ross in 1933. Quinnie (Tull) Ross in 1994l her maternal grandparents "Jap" Ranking inn 1979 and Jessie (Granberry) Rankin. Also preceding her is late ex-husband Charles Hull, Sr. on Sept 25, 2013.
Arrangements are pending through Livingston Funeral Home in Kingman. A larger memorial is planned for a later date near Texarkana.
