David Allen McDaniel was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma (Cherokee County) on November 29, 1947 to David Dewey and Allie (Rodgers) McDaniel. He departed this life on January 21, 2021 at the age of 73 years 1 month and 23 days.

“Country” as he was known to everyone over the last 50 years of his life but to his family and school friends that grew up around him he was known as David Mac or David Allen.

David attended grade school at Stone Chapel and was a graduate of Tahlequah High School.

Out of High School he was drafted into the United States Army in 1967 and proudly served until 1972. After getting out of the service he went to Northeastern State University to learn the trade of being a mechanic that he would make a career of until he retired in 2008.

Country’s hobbies were working on cars, fishing, mudding, hunting, camping, and helping his friends out with whatever project they had going on.

Country was preceded in death by his parents David and Allie McDaniel; his brother, Billy McDaniel and sister-in-law Juanita McDaniel; two nieces, Jenny Smith and Suzanna McDaniel; his brother, Marion McDaniel; and three brothers-in-law Leroy Trammel, Walter Wright and Chuck Petree.

David is survived by his daughter, Lyvia Jordan of Stilwell; son Drew McDaniel of Tahlequah; his best friend and partner, Judy Watson of Wagoner. Country had four step children; Joe Watson, Krisi Boone, John King and Kati Rivera; four sisters, Charlene Trammel, Margie Wright, Wanda and husband John Morgan, and Debbie Petree; and his brother, Tommy and wife Lynn McDaniel.

He has numerous grandchildren, Dominic Hammons of Muskogee, DaSeanta Hammons and partner Makayla Littledeer, of Stilwell, Dalton McDaniel of Stilwell, Joshua King, Kenzie Probst, Javen King, Jayden Watson, Krysa and Kane Boone and Amara Watson.

Country was a very proud great grandfather of four, Adonis Hammons of Stilwell, Zoey, Trace, and Elijah. He also had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
