Elizabeth Ann Gibson, 81, of Whitesboro, Texas, slipped peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021.

Elizabeth was born April 29, 1939 in Whitesboro, Texas to Clarence and Ireta (Bean) Morrow. She married Otis Vernon Gibson on June 5, 1959. She worked as a nurse at Gainesville Memorial Hospital. Elizabeth was an avid collector of cookbooks and loved trying out new recipes while cooking for her family and friends. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Whitesboro and enjoyed visiting at nursing homes. Her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her husband, Otis Vernon Gibson of Whitesboro; daughter, Lisa Whitten and husband, Mike of Whitesboro; son, Chris Gibson and wife, Tammy of Sanger; grandchildren, Justin Whitten, Ashleigh Whitten, Jesica Whitten, Hunter Cummings, Brittany Gibson; great-grandchild, Acey Elizabeth Cummings; sister, La Donna Smith and husband, Danny of Watauga; and two nieces.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ireta Morrow.
Graveside services honoring Elizabeth will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021 at Collinsville Cemetery, officiated by Ricky Patterson. Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Meador Funeral Home.
