Fred was the son of Willie C. Lawson and Gussie Mae Berry Lawson. He was educated in the Houston County School System. He was formerly employed with the City of Warner Robins, Georgia Sanitation Department and the Houston County Public Works Department.
He was married to Lisa Keen on September 12, 1986. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Lonnie Lawson Sr and 3 sisters, Julia Bellman, Mary Lawson and Joanne Lawson.
