Patricia Anastasia Ellis, 73 of Decatur died at 11:41 am Saturday, January 16, 2021 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Funeral Mass will be 12:00 Saturday, January 23, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Decatur with Fr. Chris Comerford Celebrant. Visitation will be two hours before the Mass at the church. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to National Right to Life. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.
Patricia was born in Mattoon, IL. on April 27, 1947 the daughter of James and Marjorie McGinn. She worked with her father in the Denture Making Business and also worked as a Seamstress. She graduated from St. Teresa High School. Patricia married Richard D. Ellis in October of 1966 and he preceded her in death March 27, 1992. Patricia enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She was a very devout Catholic and member of St. Patrick’s Parish.
Surviving are her children, Marybeth Bohner, Jennifer Goveia, Jeffrey D. (Patricia) Ellis, Kathleen (Louis) Krahn, Brian A Ellis, Cecilia M. Ellis, grandchildren, Ricky Govia, Dalton Quinlan, Conner Ellis, Emma Ellis, siblings, Michelle Davis, Jim McGinn, John McGinn, Margaret Hickman, Amy Dickson, Frank McGinn, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Mary Ann Brewer and brother, Chris McGinn.
