John Loring Clapp, 74 of Ashburn, Virginia passed on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Sitter and Barfoot Veterans Center in Richmond, Virginia.

Born Monday, December 30, 1946 in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Dr. Stewart and Dona (Nichols) Clapp.

John proudly served his county in the United States Army.

He is survived by his daughters: Jennifer (husband Abraham) Younce of Ashburn, VA and Tiffany (husband Jason) Owens of Annapolis, MD, grandchildren: Chloe, Sara, Sophia, Nicolas, Cali and Maddison, siblings: Marjorie (husband Ron) Pasch, and Carolyn Clapp. He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca, a brother Neil Clapp and a brother in law Jim.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Circle SE Leesburg, VA 20175 with Chaplain John Boyle officiating. Interment will be held at a date to be determined in Arlington National Cemetery.
