William Nicholas Wittstruck, 73, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab Center in Mitchell.

William was born on December 4, 1933 on a farm in Davison County to Vernon and Tracy (Reinartz) Wittstruck.

He attended country grade schools and graduated from Ethan High School in 1951. He served in the army from 1954 until 1956.

On September 14, 1957, he married Mary Ann Kollmann at Parkston.

They farmed east of Ethan until he retired. He was a member of the Country Travelers and Outkast Car Club. He was also a lifetime Legion member and served on the Worthen township board for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife; Mary Ann, two sons; Bill and wife Pam, and Randy both of Mitchell, and a daughter; Kathleen Schrader and husband Dereck of Sioux Falls, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be Friday October 5, 2007 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Ethan. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery with military rites.
