A graduate of Ottumwa High School, Doug worked for Courtney Lawn & Leisure, Berry Bearing and Ottumwa Water Works.
Doug loved spending time outdoors, especially at the river.
Surviving are his parents, Bruce and Connie Turner of Ottumwa; a sister, Teresa Ross; and his dog, Lucy.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
