Chester Allen Moore, 77, of Charles Town, died Jan. 18, 2021 at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg.
Born Aug. 22, 1943, in Summerduck, Va., he was the son of the late Glenn A. and Helen D. Moore.
Chester attended Loudoun County High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served two tours in Vietnam. Chester retired from Dixie Narco in Ranson and later was a groomsman at various horse racing tracks.
He is survived by one stepson, Buddy Fadeley and 10 siblings, Buck Moore, Edna Thomas (Stanley), Charles Moore (Shirley), Ann Brown, Sandra Zapkin, Floyd Moore (Joyce), Jane Moore, Carl Moore (Karen), Nancy Tarver and Toni Milbourne (Tom).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle Kuzakin; one stepdaughter, Tammy Powell; one brother, John Moore and one sister, Linda Tate.
Services with military honors presented by active WV Army Honor Guard and Harpers Ferry Bolivar Veterans will be held Saturday, Jan. 23 at 3 p.m. at Fellowship Bible Church, Shenandoah Junction. Pastor Van Marsceau will officiate.
Memorial donations may be made the COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce De Leon Blvd., Miami, FL 33134.
