Vivian Lavon Wilson, 87, of Manlius, Illinois passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Heritage Health Nursing Home, Walnut, Illinois.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Sheffield Rescue Unit.
She was born March 15, 1933 in Princeton, Illinois the daughter of Andrew and Dorothy (Vickery) Wise.
Vivian married Mervyn Wilson September 19, 1954 in New Bedford, Illinois. They shared 66 years together. He preceded her in death December 12, 2020.
Survivors include two sons: Duane (Jamie) Wilson of Kewanee, IL and Kevin (Lisa) Wilson of Sheffield, Illinois; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Neil Wise, two sisters, Margaret Chapple and Celestia "Sadie" VanOrmer.
Vivian graduated from Manlius High School with the Class of 1952.
In her younger years, Vivian worked at PAG Seeds in Walnut sorting corn.
She enjoyed her weekly shopping trip with her sister, Sadie. Vivian loved caring for her family. Grandma V will always be remembered for her spaghetti and never telling her granddaughters "no."
