Mrs. Ella Lillie Knippa, 91, of Lincoln, passed away on March 1, 2007 at St. Mark's Medical Center in La Grange. Rev. Dale Bohm conducted the funeral service on March 4, 2007 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lincoln. Burial was in the Giddings Memorial Park.

Mrs. Knippa was born on March 2, 1915 in Lincoln to Engelbert and Agnes Pratho Reuther. She married Ludwig Knippa on February 14, 1936.

Surviving relatives include her children: Caroline and Frank Malinak of Dime Box, Marvin and Emogene Knippa of Dime Box, Agnes and Lummus Hannes of La Grange and Jeff and Linda Knippa of Houston; grandchildren: Frank and Lesley Malinak of College Station, Annette Malinak of Bastrop, Mike and Debbie Malinak of Manheim, Joe Malinak of Dime Box, Janet Meulendorf of Bryan, Elizabeth and Stephen Schley of Fayetteville, Matthew and Telisa Knippa of Cypress, Kevin Knippa of College Station, David Knippa of Houston, Matthew and Lori Hannes of Huntsville, Tamara and Lambert Blaha of La Grange and Jeremy and Zoe Knippa of Virginia Beach, VA;18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law: Dora Reuther of Giddings, Hildegard and Louis Manicha of Houston, Adell Knippa of Houston, Leona Knippa of Giddings, Elma Schatte of Houston, Lillian and Mel Hohle of Houston, Rev.
