His funeral service will be 3PM Tuesday afternoon, January 26, 2021, in the Hickory Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, Bethera. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday evening at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Hickory Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1778 Bethera Road, Bonneau, SC 29431.
Mr. Cox was born July 14, 1947, a son of Edward Carlton Cox and Catherine Cox. He was a member of the Hickory Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing and football but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his daughter, Tracy Cox, and her husband Bruce Grasty of Hanahan; a son, Walter Lee Cox of Macedonia; a daughter in law, Karen Cox of Cross; two brothers, Edward Cox, Jr. of Georgia and Rusty Cox of Pinopolis; five grandchildren, Shelby Strickland and her husband Mitch, Kassidi Cox, Ivy Cox, Cami Cox, and Jacob Cox; and two great grandchildren, Hannah Milligan and Landon Milligan.
