Diphtheria has been raging in Lexington township recently. Seven deaths are reported, three at Croswell, one at Applegate and three near Amadore.

Three Cline families are down with it, and Sewell Cline and daughter are dead.

On Sunday, January 3rd, Mr. and Mrs. Sewell Cline lost their oldest child, a little girl about six years old, of diphtheria, and on Friday night, January 8, Mr. Cline died with the same disease.

Mrs. Cline and a little boy about three years old and Jacob Cline, father of the diseased, are suffering from the same disease.
